Windows 11 default apps

Why are Microsoft trying to force people to use Edge?

Since the launch of Windows 11, most people were content with what they saw. A beautifully designed desktop GUI and a new menu navigation system, saw users getting familiar with Windows 11.

So now that the GUI is out of the way, what about setting default apps? Not so easy, Microsoft have removed the ability to set defaults apps based on filetypes. Instead, you now have to add a default app for each filetype and lets face it some formats have a lot of filetypes.

Lets hope that this is resolved in a future update, although I am sure this has been done deliberately to force people to stay with Edge based on the monotonous method of changing the app for each filetype.
